Speakers and the public audience are responsible for making their own travel, accommodation and related expenses, unless they are invited by the Foundation of the Hindustani Diaspora Chair. The Hague has a large number of hotels and hostels with different price classes. We would advise early booking of your accommodation.

Flights: Kindly make your own arrangements to the Netherlands. Arriving airport is: Schiphol, Amsterdam.
Travel to The Hague from Schiphol airport: There are two modes of transportation you could use to get to The Hague from Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam.
One: is hiring a taxi, which can be found at http://www.schipholtaxi.nl/en/ or email: info@schipholtaxi.nl or HCT City Tax at https://www.city-tax.nl/ or meldkamer@city-tax.nl.
Second: An efficient railway system that you may use to reach the Hague within 39 minutes. At Schiphol, the train station is situated underneath Schiphol Plaza in the central hall of the terminal, where there are ticket desks and ticket machines. Purchase a single journey for €8.30, 2nd class: Schiphol airport (platform 5-6) to Den Haag Central Station. I advise you to take a sprinter train to The Hague. Please note that as you are travelling back another date, you will need to purchase two single train tickets.

Guests travelling by train to The Hague from original destination in Europe or from Schiphol:

Kindly arrive at Den Haag Central Station. If you are familiar with The Hague, you may take a tram to the hotel/hostel or directly to the ISS. You can purchase a tram ticket at the train station. You may also check at the kiosk which tram has a stop close to the hotel and which tram has a stop close to the ISS. They tend to shift tram routes from time to time due to work constructions hence the reason I am not advising you of a tram number. If you are not familiar with using trams in The Hague, kindly take a taxi from Den Haag Central station to either the hotel or the ISS. They normally costs € 20.00 per journey. You may hire a taxi from Rijnstraat, next to platform 1 of the train, under the bicycle parking.
